The College

College 1

History

Founded in Québec in 1635 by the Jesuit Fathers, Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier is the oldest French speaking college in North America. Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier is a private high school for girls and boys from 7th to 11th grade.

The School

Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier is a secular and coeducational private high school. Around 600 students, divided in 20 groups, enroll every year for various reasons; the high reputation of the school, its traditions, its enriched programs and its choice location in Quebec City make it a quality institution.

Values

Our educational plan and the diverse programs that we offer show that our vision, while taking its roots in a solid tradition, is yet one turned towards the future and to the world. Founded by the Jesuits, though now a secular institution, the College Saint-Charles-Garnier advocates the values of:

  • Responsability
  • Truth
  • Dialog
  • Community
  • Solidarity
  • Respect of individual liberty
